Hi! My name is Afsha and I live with my husband Mo. Our daughter (16yrs) lives with us and our son (19yrs) is at university but comes home for holidays. We are a sociable family and love travelling, going to the cinema and learning about different cultures. We are a busy bunch but love our home and spending time relaxing together too.
Your room is on the top floor of our home and feels like a private space for you. It's a warm, peaceful double room with a single bed, wardrobe, drawers, lamp, alarm clock, desk and chair to study. You have almost exclusive use of the recently refurbished bathroom and lounge area with TV (only sharing when our son comes home for a few weeks a year). You have internet access. There is a small kitchen on your floor too which we are happy for you to use. You are most welcome to spend time in our lounge and family kitchen with us and browse through the books in the study. We have a lovely sunny garden too.
My home is a beautiful old Victorian house which sits in a quiet road in the vibrant suburb of Moseley (recently voted best place to live in the UK!) It's only a 10 min walk to the centre of Moseley where you can find many trendy cafes, unique shops and grocery stores. There is a famous farmers market every Saturday. You can walk to the MAC where there are many events and shows, and Edgbaston cricket ground. We are also close to Kings Heath which has 2 parks, a gym, lots of restaurants and a library. Moseley is an excellent location for students attending the University of Birmingham -it's a 7 minute walk to the number 1A bus stop, then 14 minutes on the bus and an 8 minute walk to the University. It's only 20 - 30 minutes to the city centre by bus so if you are going to Edskills Language School, South and City College Birmingham or The Language Gallery, this is a great location for you.
