HELLO

This is your future host family Debra (mother)and Shonagh (daughter). I am a retired College Teacher and my daughter Shonagh is a Kindergarden Teacher. We have been hosting international students for over 15 years so we are very well experienced. We have had students from all around the world and all of them have been very happy :) staying with us.  We really enjoy having students live with us and hearing about their lives in their own country. We enjoy eating out and cooking at home. We enjoy walking our dog Mollie at the local country park, we like to travel and visit our family in Ireland. We like to help our guests practice and improve their English language skills.

What we Offer

Yours is a comfortable single bedroom with lots of storage space. There’s also a desk, chair and reading lamp for private study. We have a kitchen/diner that leads out to the back garden which is an ideal place to relax and have a chat over a cup of coffee.

Where we Live

We live in a quiet area. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk to get the bus to the City Centre and the bus stop to get to Harborne village (which is a small but good shopping area ) is just at the bottom of our road . Near to our home there is a local library and Woodgate Valley Country Park where they have lots of farm animals, streams and lots of country paths to follow. There are shops only a 5 minute walk away. A short bus journey away we have the Botanical Gardens and Cadbury world which is a CHOCOLATE FACTORY! We are also lucky to have a local cinema only a 5 minute car journey away. We hope to welcome you to our home soon.
