HELLO

Hi, my name's Jan and I look forward to welcoming you to my home. Since retiring from work I love to travel and discover new places. I have spent a lot of time travelling in Africa and Asia working on volunteer projects to help local communities. I have really enjoyed meeting people from different cultures and learning about life in different parts of the world. My son, his wife and my three grandchildren live next door. I have two greyhound dogs, called Ned and Dave, that I rescued. They are 10 years old now so after their daily walk, they tend to sleep all day. They are very friendly dogs and no trouble at all.

What we Offer

You will have your own section of the house that comprises a study area and stairs leading to a bedroom, living room and private bathroom. You can also access the back garden through the conservatory which is accessible from the study - it's like having your own apartment in a house. In the main part of the home there's a large, comfortable lounge, kitchen and dining area for you to share with me.

Where we Live

I live in Sutton Coldfield which is a town to the north of Birmingham city centre. The train from Wylde Green train station to Birmingham New Street takes 20 minutes. I am able to give you a lift in my car to the train station each day - or if you prefer to use the bus, there is a bus service that runs frequently to the city centre. The bus takes approximately 35 minutes to get to the city centre, depending upon traffic. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to my home.
