HELLO

Hello, my name's Selina and I live with my husband Jack and my son Nicholas who recently graduated from University of Birmingham. Our daughter lives away from home whilst she interns at Deloitte Bristol . I was an overseas student myself many years ago and had positive experiences living with different host families. I learned a lot about being independent and coping with cultural differences which in the end enriched my adult life tremendously in the UK. Even when I started having a family, I had always taken in International student lodgers who could have a 'home away from home'. In other words, hosting guests is a kind of 'job' that I am familiar with and so far I have had the nicest of people come through my doors.

What we Offer

We live in a large, 5 bedroom detached home with a driveway and rear garden. You will have your own single bedroom overlooking the garden and will share bathroom facilities with the family. Downstairs we have a living room for relaxing and dining room for mealtimes. We also have a piano for any competent pianists who wish to stay.

Where we Live

We live in Bournbrook, Selly Oak opposite the University of Birmingham. It is a very convenient location for students attending the University and it is also convenient for those attending one of Birmingham's city centre English language schools such as Edskills Language School, The Language Gallery or South and City College Digbeth/Longbridge. Bus number 61 or 63 will get you to Moor Street Queensway, city centre in 17 minutes. We look forward to welcoming you to our home!
